DAY 1: DARWIN TO KATHERINE
This morning our journey will take us to the picturesque town of Adelaide River where we stop in and say g’day to a famous Australian personality, The Buffalo ‘Charlie’ - the star of Crocodile Dundee! Travelling further South we stop at Edith falls where you will have the opportunity to swim in cool clear water, walk through bush tracks and explore spectacular sandstone country. Next we make tracks to the majestic Katherine Gorge for a choice of a two hour cruise or a canoeing adventure. We finish the day by travelling to our campsite at the historic Springvale Homestead. Enjoy a star gazing talk after dinner.

DAY 2: KATHERINE TO KUNUNURRA
After breakfast we head for the Western Australian border, crossing the mighty Victoria River on the way. The vehicle will be inspected at the border before we head to Lake Argyle, where we enjoy a spectacular cruise and sausage sizzle BBQ lunch. The scenery is constantly changing from the rugged northern end across the unbelievable expanse of open water to the vast expanses of the southern reaches. See rock wallabies, crocodiles, wallaroos (euros) and birdlife, enjoy fish feeding and there may be time for a swim!

DAY 3: KUNUNURRA TO EL QUESTRO
This morning we take in spectacular views of irrigational landscape and visit Zebedee Rock gallery. Lunch will be at your own expense before heading off to El Questro Wilderness Park. For the next two nights we’ll be camping at the El Questro, on the banks of the Pentecost River. By night enjoy a drink with the locals at the Outback bar.

DAY 4: EL QUESTRO
A full day exploring a large selection of the Gorges, swimming holes, and thermal pools.

DAY 5: EL QUESTRO TO BUNGLE BUNGLES
Today we farewell the serene El Questro and head to the Bungle Bungles in Purnululu National Park. On entering Purnululu NP we’ll engage our 4WD to navigate our way through this spectacular scenery. We’ll make several stops to take in the commanding views, before arriving deep in the heart of the Bungle Bungles to establish our base camp for the next two nights.

DAY 6: BUNGLE BUNGLES
A day to explore the amazing stripped rock domes that comprise the Bungle Bungles. Specifically, we will visit the very impressive Cathedral Gorge and Echidna Chasm. Today you’ll have the option to take a scenic flight (at an extra cost) over this spectacular region. Then it’s back to camp to review the days’ activities.

DAY 7: BUNGLE BUNGLES TO FITZROY CROSSING
Departing Purnululu NP we track back to the Northern Highway and head due west making our way to Fitzroy Crossing via Halls Creek. From Halls Creek we make our way onto Fitzroy Crossing, our stop for the night.

DAY 8: FITZROY CROSSING TO WINDJANA GORGE
Another amazing journey awaits as we make our way to Geikie Gorge – see wildlife such as crocodiles. See the amazing rock formations and enjoy the opportunity to spot fresh water crocodiles as we transfer to the mighty Fitzroy River. Our journey along the Northern Highway digresses shortly after departing Fitzroy towards Tunnel Creek and Windjana. We will explore these natural attractions and stay overnight at Windjana National Park.

DAY 9: BROOME
Today we depart Windjana Gorge and make our way to Derby. On route to Broome we call into Derby and check out the Boab Trees, the largest King Tide (Derby is known for this) and the longest water trough in the Southern Hemisphere. Leaving Derby we make our way to Broome, where we sadly farewell your travelling companions. If time permits there may be an opportunity for some sightseeing in Broome and farewell dinner at one of the many restaurants.
